FIL (Film Imitation Lab) is a powerful script for old photo simulation. FIL has a modular architecture.
Current version: v1.6.0 (August 2010).
Features:
This little bit of Script-Fu converts all images of a specified extension in a single folder to greyscale .gbr files. script-fu popup prompts you for the folder containing the images, and which extension to filter on.
Brushes are created in the same folder as the images, using the original filenames (but with .gbr as the extension instead of frex. .jpg).
Tested in Windows XP with GIMP 2.6 - not tested in other environments or versions, but as this script is very bare bones, it should work on any GIMP version from at least 2.2 up (not sure about earlier).
This plug-in changes color balance to imitate images taken with Manual / Classic lenses but without any effect of degradation similar to images made with toy lenses.
This batch script includes multi-exposed single camera raw file enfusion.
* Note: Batch files where made for Windows, they need to be altered to be used in Linux or elsewhere.
Copy the .scm file to:
C:\Users\[USER]\.gimp-2.6\scripts
or
c:\Documents and Settings\[user]\.gimp-2.6\scripts
See Readme file
The simplest "scriptfu_gimp.bat" will batch process all *.tif files in the folder of the batch files. read more »
An index print or contact sheet is an image that traditionally contains the negative images of an entire roll of film. Photographers used such sheets to index prints or as a proof page to decide which prints to enlarge.
Index print is a very useful tool to show the contents of a folder, for web design projects and galleries, personal work, or just to have a record of any archive folder in your external hard drives. Index print let you easily preview and catalog groups of images by displaying a series of (small) images on a single or multiple pages. Filename can be included. read more »
Add Watermark text to images in batch mode.
Based on the plugin batchwork.py Version 1.04 by Alexander Hadjiivanov 2010.
Difference:
- Reported only the Bump Map portion of the code by Alexander
- The watermark is bumped with font size specified by the user (result is a smaller text box)
- Position is specified as corner of the image
- Added offset (horizontal and vertical) for the watermark, from the border of the image
- Added choice for horizontal or vertical position

This script is a simple add-on to the wonderful service textify.com provides: You give LaTeX-Code and get the formula as an image to add it e.g. into an presentation (who wants to use Microsoft Formula Editor??) Using this add-on you take gimp as an proxy that is able to change the text-color (textify.com only provides plain black on white background with some alpha-pixels). You may choose an image size as textify.com provides it and get an _real_ alpha background image and you favorite text color. read more »
The script enables you to do two image adjustment operations to all images in a folder:
You choose a folder with a folder browsing widget, you can also specify the file extension of the files you would want to change(useful if you have non supported files in the same folder). read more »
This plug-in is designed for batch watermarking and resizing of image files. It lets you choose the directory which contains the images, the file extension, the font, the copyright text and the options associated with the processing. Useful for photographers who upload a lot of photos on the web and don't want to watermark every single file individually. The resulting images contain between one and four instances of the copyright text (selectable as an option). read more »
Save all layers as TGA files, discarding alpha channels and applying layer masks as alpha if they exist. Name becomes imagename-layername.tga
This script is created by Joao S. O. Bueno at my request and I take no credit for it's development.
Appears in /Layer/Transparency/Copy Mask to Other layers of the Image window.
A simple plugin (my first) to run the cartoon effect on multiple images. It took me a while to write whilst trying to edit a lot of photos (for a short film about geography)
it is available from /Xtns/Misc/Batch cartoon effect
